Description: Tokuriki Tomikichiro (1902-2000) was a printmaker born in Kyoto. He began his woodblock printing career around 1929 and went on to found the "Matsukyu" printmaking studio after the Second World War, where he trained apprentices. A central figure in the Kyoto Creative Print Movement, he was known for his unique approach of even mass-producing works using the traditional ukiyo-e method.

This print depicts Kotai-jingu (also known as the Naiku, or Inner Shrine), the main shrine within Ise Jingu Grand Shrine. Covered in snow, it beautifully captures the sacred atmosphere of Japan's most venerable sanctuary.
