Description: Tokuriki Tomikichiro (1902-2000) was a printmaker born in Kyoto. He began his woodblock printing career around 1929 and went on to found the "Matsukyu" printmaking studio after the Second World War, where he trained apprentices. A central figure in the Kyoto Creative Print Movement, he was known for his unique approach of even mass-producing works using the traditional ukiyo-e method.

This print is from his "Hometown Folk Houses" series of self-carved and self-printed works, published in 1977. It depicts four local folk houses, each representing a season: "Spring in Shinshu," "Summer Evening in Kyoto Ohara," "Autumn Rain in Kiso Tsumago-juku," and "Snow in Gifu Shirakawa-go."

This version is the first edition, limited to 250 copies, each numbered and signed by the artist.
