Description: Sano Seiji (1959-present) is a leading figure in contemporary woodblock printing. He began his printmaking journey in 1984, studying under Ido Masao. Sano is known for his poetic and emotional style, which captures the nostalgic beauty of traditional Japanese landscapes.

The print is from his series titled "Satoyama no Shiki" (Four Seasons of Satoyama, traditional rural landscape), a collection that masterfully depicts his personal vision of Japan's quintessential satoyama landscapes.
