Item from the Mokuhankan Flea Market53 Stations of the Tokaido - Postcards in Box![]() Size: 9.0cm by 14.0cm (3.54 in by 5.51 in) | Enlargement | Shipping Code: [M] ? Designer: Ando Hiroshige Era: Meiji | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: ![]() Description: We've introduced the same postcard in an album already in our Flea Market catalogue, but seeing a boxed version for the first time was a surprise! Unfortunately, we can't find any information like the publication year for this item, but we suspect it might have been the same as the album - published by Fujisawa Mankado in the early 1900s. The album version was introduced and described by Dave in one of the David's Choice video presentations on YouTube, and then included in the Mokuhankan Collection online. On the publisher Fujisawa Mankado's website, there are excellent photos of the woodblocks, which are believed to be from the period .... it is very rare to be able to match up old prints with their original blocks! Each print is backed on card, ready for mailing, as if anybody would actually do that. The dimensions given are for each print. This item is missing an index sheet. Prints have toning and foxing. ![]() No.2 Shinagawa ![]() No.5 Hodogaya ![]() No.11 Hakone ![]() No.16 Kamabara ![]() No.23 Fujida ![]() No.27 Kakegawa ![]() ![]() Browse thumbnail pages of various selections from the catalogue ...
