Description: This print is part of the series Ukiyo Junikagetsu (Twelve Months of the Floating World), a calendar-style collection capturing scenes from each month. This particular image represents the month of May.

A street performer is carrying a miniature kabuki theater set, and is selling kabuki prints. In the background, a group of excited children has spotted him and is running toward him, eager to secure their tickets and get a glimpse of the show.


Can not remove from backing paper, the red pigment is water-soluble.

This print is partially toned, it presents some brownish stains on the upper area and some creases at the corners.
