Description: This is a collection of ceremonial robe designs published in 1818. The patterns remain so vibrant and beautiful,shōmen-zuri (front rubbing) technique has also been skillfully employed - it's hard to believe the book was created over 200 years ago!

The author, Honma Hyakuri, was a samurai and an expert in yūsoku kojitsu (the study of ancient court and military customs, etiquette, and dress) in the late Edo period.
