Description: This print is from a reproduction set of 25 excellent Kabuki actor and sumo wrestler portraits by Sharaku, published by O-edo Mokuhansha around 1972. These reproductions are luxuriously finished with a mica (kirazuri) background.

Actors Sagawa Kikunojo III as the Courtesan Katsuragi and Sawamura Sojuro. The MET holds an early impression of the portrait.
