Description: This print of a beauty at Shinagawa station, is part of an untitled series of the Fifty-three Stations of the Tôkaidô Road by Eisen, originally published around the 1830s. In this series, he paired beauties with each of the stations of the famous road by featuring large portraits of beautiful women on the foreground.

In the upper section of this print, a red vignette displays the name of the station Shinagawa.

In the foreground, a young woman dressed in elegant, traditional attire sits gracefully as she prepares tea. She heats a classic iron kettle inside a brazier, her robe adorned with a delicate crane motif and a beautiful color gradation.

In the background, travelers relax on a terrace by the shore, admiring the sea view. Boats drift over calm waters beneath a soft pink sky, adding a serene atmosphere to the scene.

A small poem written below completes the composition.
