In this series, he paired beauties with each of the stations of the famous road by featuring large portraits of beautiful women on the foreground. In the upper section of this print, a red vignette displays the name of the station Nihonbashi. In the foreground, a young woman dressed in elegant, traditional attire balances on her geta sandals. She lifts part of her robe with one hand to walk more easily, revealing the layers beneath—red and violet garments adorned with floral patterns. Her outer robe features a graceful gradation of blues. With her other hand, she draws what appears to be a paper roll from her obi. In the background, the Nihonbashi Bridge is crowded with pedestrians moving in both directions. Beyond it lie the port, the sea, part of the village, and Mount Fuji rising majestically at the center of the scene.
