Description: This print is from Hiroshige's and Eisen’s "Sixty-nine Stations of Kiso Kaido" series, it shows Mochizuki, the 26th station.

It skillfully depicts a moonlit scene where some travelers with their horses are going up a sloping road bordered by majestuous pine trees on its right edge. It is interesting how the figures are very well aligned and they follow each other in a very organized way as if they were copying the trees. The moon peeks out from behind of one tree branch giving the whole atmosphere a very poetic light.

This version is a reproduction published by the Yuyudo Company.
