It skillfully depicts a moonlit scene where some travelers with their horses are going up a sloping road bordered by majestuous pine trees on its right edge. It is interesting how the figures are very well aligned and they follow each other in a very organized way as if they were copying the trees. The moon peeks out from behind of one tree branch giving the whole atmosphere a very poetic light.
