Description: This print is also known as "Spring at Nakanocho at New Yoshiwara" (Yoshiwara Naka-no-chô Haru no Kei), and is from the "Famous Places in the Eastern Capital" (Tôto meisho) series by Hiroshige. The original print was made in the 1830s, although this particular print is a post-war reproduction by the Yuyudo Company.

A spring scene of Nakanocho in Shin-Yoshiwara with the large cherry blossom tree standing tall in the middle of the street. Courtesans dressed in extravagant clothes make their way to their appointments, assisted by their child helpers.
