Description: Part of a monthly subscription series of three woodblock prints issued by the Yamato Hanga Kanko-kai in ca. 1924.

This print captures three beauties braving a sudden rain shower as dusk sets in. Two women huddle closely beneath an umbrella, seeking refuge from the wind-driven rain, while the third adjusts her hat, her kimono billowing in the breeze. The subtle movement of their garments against the weather contrasts with their poised and graceful demeanor.

In the background, figures along the embankment scurry for shelter. The darkening sky, streaked with angled rain, adds to the atmosphere, drawing a lovely contrast with the soft colors and fine detailing of the women's robes.

There are traces of glue removal on the back of this print.
