Description: Part of a monthly subscription series of three woodblock prints issued by the Yamato Hanga Kano-kai in ca. 1924.

This lively print shows two young girls in an animated chase for a thread ball, with one playfully perched above the other as they compete to catch it. Dressed in vibrant red and light green kimonos adorned with delicate floral patterns, the girls' attire highlights the artist's meticulous attention to detail, especially in the intricate kimono designs. The suggestion of water waves in the background hints at a terrace by a river, enhancing the scene with a tranquil yet dynamic setting.

The predominant red tones infuse the composition with vibrancy, reinforcing the playful energy of the moment.

There are traces of glue removal on the back of this print.
