Designer: Various Era: Post-war | Currency: $ / £ / € Price: ¥ 82,000$ 680.00£ 590.00€ 685.00   Description: This set of twelve prints by various painters, collected under the theme of bijin-ga, was published by Takamizawa, and includes images designed by Utamaro, Harunobu, Kunisada, Toyokuni, Kiyonaga, and Eishi. The size shown is the print image size, but the two by Harunobu are slightly smaller, at 30 x 22cm. Each print comes with a Japanese description sheet, is lightly tacked to a mat, set in an envelope, and housed in a cloth-covered outer case. The outer dimensions of the box are 52 x 36 x 4.5cm.
Special Shipping Notice This item cannot be shipped at the ‘economy’ level in our shopping cart, so we have priced it to include shipping at the EMS express level (including insurance) to most common destinations (North America, Europe, Asia). The prints are in excellent condition overall. The Kiyonaga print (#10) has a few slight foxing spots, and the paper folder for #6 (Utamaro) is heavily foxed. (We have inserted glassine paper to protect the print itself). This is quite a spectacular set, and it is rare for us to find one unbroken, and in good condition like this. The original cardboard box is remaining ...  Inside the case, an index print in Japnese and 12 envelopes containing prints.   Print is lightly glued to the folder accompanying a description sheet in Japnese.
