The eight prints presented together here were published in the pre-war period by Takamizawa as part of a larger set: "Edition of 50 Ukiyo-e Landscapes, by 13 Master Artists"

The set was sold by subscription, with collectors receiving 5 print per month for ten months. We have a pamphlet from the time, listing the price as 2.80 yen per month (postage included).

The set was also aimed at foreigners in the country, and a price for them is also listed ... $15.00 for the set, or $0.33 per print.
