Description: This print is from a set of reproductions of 25 of Hiroshige's lesser-known prints, given the English title "Rare Publication: Selected Works by Hiroshige" by the publisher, O-Edo Mokuhansha.

A small bird perches on a stem between colourful blooms in this vivid fan-print (uchiwa-e) by Hiroshige. The deep red background, unusual in an ukiyo-e print, is particularly striking, and the use of "flat" colours give the work a modern feel. It is unclear if there are any original prints of this image.

Printer: Ito / Carver: Endo

There are a few foxing spots in the upper part and there are pinholes at the top corners. Also, there are a few traces of glue removal at the top of the backside.
