Description: This print is from the series, 日本木版画粋 (Masterpieces of Japanese Woodblock Prints), a collection of reproductions of various themes and designs published around 1924. The print quality is excellent (for most of the prints) and there are almost no traces of baren on the back, so we assume that it was at least partially machine printed.

The picture shows seven different figures in a circle engaged in various activities, including dancing, music composition, drinking, eating, gambling, smoking, reading, and praying. Each figure is in a different state of their human life, some are younger and some are older. Everyone is sitting except for the old man who is dancing. There is only one woman among them, she is the one smoking a red pipe.
