Description: This print is one of the 'Tokyo Nichi Nichi Shimbun', which literally translates to Tokyo Daily News. Newspapers were a new concept in Japan around the early Meiji-era, and to make this more accessible for a wider public, the publishers made newspapers with colorful prints like this one. The themes were often scandalous or catchy. This print covers the news that the famous actor Ichikawa Danjuro (9th generation) will be playing in a new Kabuki show.

This print has toning, creases, and wormholes.
