Yes, that's what I'm seeing in my email Inbox any number of times each day now … We've been shipping Great Wave prints bit by bit over the past couple of weeks, and they are now arriving at homes around the world.
We're of course shipping in the same order that the backers joined the campaign. Our printer Mr. Kenichi Kubota is currently on his 3rd batch, bringing them round to our shop around once every ten days or so. At the rate he's going, we'll be finished the Kickstarter fulfillment (219 copies in all) within this calendar month.
Our two shipping ladies are of course ready and waiting for each batch, with all the packing prepared in advance, so each print heads out to the Post Office soon after we receive it (after being checked and numbered).
We're not sending the prints 'bare', but are mounting each one on archival support, packed just as if they were to be put into our shop. We've also written a small pamphlet to accompany the prints:
It's of course available for anybody to read, and you can use this link to download the pamphlet in .pdf format (about 5Mb).
We're so happy to finally be shipping this one; it's been quite the project, far more complex than I initially expected …
Many of you have been asking about the next video, and that's now in preparation. I have the outline worked out, and will be getting it into the can later tonight and tomorrow. Once it's edited - and the (very interesting) 'outside' episode attached - I'll be getting it up to YouTube.
Thank you to everybody once more for your patience with this project!

It's here indeed!
I received my print today (I was #12 on the list) and it's amazing! I can't tell how much I love it. It's such a great work it was well worth the wait. My friends are already asking me where to order a copy of it! (It could become the flagship of the Mokuhankan shop!).
Thank you again!

I can barely contain my excitement...the anticipation is driving me crazy!
(Is there any way of finding out where I am in the mailing order???)

Mine arrived today. I have to say, from the outside of the package with the choice of stamps to the inner folder, brochures and packaging for the print itself, it is an amazing class act all the way through. Wonderfully, thoughtfully shipped so that the print comes to me in pristine condition. And is it a stunner. Well worth the wait. Thank you so much!

Another arrival confirmed in perfect condition. The packaging is very thorough, which is greatly appreciated.
The print itself is a thing of beauty, pictures really do not do it justice. This is the largest print of my growing collection and it's quite impressive.
Thanks for all the hard work and I'm already looking forward to following your next project! I remember a passing mention of doing a print for a camera crew and have been intrigued since.

Actually, considering the absolutely stunning quality of carving and printing of your copy of Hokusai's Great Wave, including all the wonderful videos discussing the history of its conception, I expect it will be the most sought after reproduction of Hokusai's design for this print for many years to come.

Great news, Dave. I'm eagerly awaiting my chance to order the Great Wave, and of course the next video. I hope you address the documentary that you mentioned in passing in a youtube comment some time ago too, I'd love to hear more about it.

I think it's great that they are finally shipping and sure you have been really busy with that, but now that they are out are you still going to be finishing the youtube series?

There will certainly be more videos … It's just that each and every day of the week, before I can get down to work on that - setting up the camera and beginning the long process of making one - other more important work gets in the way. The 'problem' about being the head manager here is that we're always in the situation of having other people depending on 'my part' getting done first, before they can do their work, whether it be carving, printing, office stuff, you name it … So yeah, videos are coming, but ...

The print is a stunner....it came last Monday and I waited to open it (that nearly killed me) until Alex from McClains arrived...we meet once a week to pretend we know what we are doing with Moku Hanga,,,it was so much more fun to open it together! We spent a long time looking it over and enjoying it. What an amazing effort!
I bet you will be reprinting this one soon.
I have so enjoyed being a small part of this ride,( I think I got involved with the Baren at the 2nd exchange and now we are on 67,)...and seeing your success. No one deserves it more.

I received my print of "The Great Wave" a few days ago. This is now my favorite piece in my collection. Bravo to you and your team, a beautiful piece of art.
