Description: A design dating from the 1820's, created by a relatively unknown print designer - Teisai Hokuba, one of the pupils of Katsushika Hokusai. When's the last time you saw a pale yellow sky and deep yellow clouds? But realism isn't really the issue here - just decorative pleasure ...
Note: This print was originally published in my Hanga Treasure Chest series. I made just about 200 copies of this print at that time, and distributed them only in set form, never as single prints. It is my thought that after the 200 sets of the Treasure Chest have been sold, the blocks (still in absolutely perfect condition) can then be used to produce prints to be added to the Mokuhankan catalogue, with the printing being done by hired craftsmen working under my direction. We're not at that point yet, as I still have a couple of dozen sets left, but this particular print is being offered here as a special item (details on just why, are on a post in the RoundTable.
